It has been determined by California???s South Coast Air Quality Management District that Solstice Performance Fluid (PF) is not a volatile organic compound, which means it will not contribute to smog pollution.

As a result, Solstice PF is being introduced as an effective, environmentally preferable alternative to HCFC-225, which is a commonly used solvent that is being phased out by regulation beginning January 1, 2015.

Baron Blakeslee, therefore, has begun building equipment for solstice PF.

???Solstice PF helps solvent users meet both current and expected environmental requirements,??? says David Cooper, global business director for Honeywell Fluorine Products. At Baron Blakeslee, we???re proud to do business with an organization that takes the environment so seriously.

We???re excited to be building equipment that will be used to clean oils, greases and other substances in a way that doesn???t contribute to pollution. Solstice PF also opens doors for many corporations that are in very environmentally conscious fields. Solstice may allow vapor degreasing to be used in cases where in the past it may not have been acceptable.

At Baron Blakeslee, we???re proud to be one of the world???s leading designers and manufacturers of industrial cleaning equipment, and we???re thrilled that putting our experience to work for Solstice PF is going to make the world a better place.
